D.J. Bartholomew
David John Bartholomew FBA (born 6 August 1931) is a British statistician who was President of the Royal Statistical Society 2002–2003.
In 1955 he married Marian Elsie Lake, and they have two daughters.[1]
Career
He was educated at University College London where he earned his BSc and PhD.[1]

- Lecturer in Statistics, University of Keele, 1957–60
- Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer, University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, 1960–67
- Professor of Statistic, University of Kent, 1967–73.
- Professor of Statistics London School of Economics, 1973–96, then Emeritus (Pro-Director, 1988–91)
- President, Royal Statistical Society, 1993–95 (Hon. Sec., 1976–82; Treas., 1989–93)
- Vice-President, Manpower Society, 1987–95
- Chairman, Science and Religion Forum, 1997–2000
He is a member of the Board of Governors of Inform, a Charity that provides factual information about religious movements.[2]
